Dam liners are an effective solution to
prevent seepage and water loss. Because they are made from a
manufactured material the thickness of the liner is consistent over the
whole dam floor so you can be sure that it is effective in ensuring that
your precious water is not lost or wasted through seepage. The dam
surface needs be as smooth as possible and free of sharp or abrasive
materials. A layer of sand can be used to create a smooth base, as well
as using a geo-textile to protect against sharp objects.
