Dam liner prevent unwanted seepage and pollution

Dam liners are an effective solution to prevent seepage and water loss. Because they are made from a manufactured material the thickness of the liner is consistent over the whole dam floor so you can be sure that it is effective in ensuring that your precious water is not lost or wasted through seepage. The dam surface needs be as smooth as possible and free of sharp or abrasive materials.  A layer of sand can be used to create a smooth base, as well as using a geo-textile to protect against sharp objects.

All of our dam liners are packaged on a heavy duty core and are heavily protected to ensure no damage occurs during transport. Instructions are included as a separate flyer with indicative marks on the liner to show which direction to roll out the liner.

Dam Liner Material

The type and thickness of material in dam liners varies. The main determinants of the type of material to be used are:

  • size of the dam or pond
  • exposure to UV
  • required dam liner life
  • preparation and nature of the base of the dam
  • available budget for the dam liner

Dam liners require very little maintenance and are easy to install. Fabric Solutions can pre-fabricate dam and pond liners up to approximately 3000sqm in a single piece. Larger projects can be fabricated and supplied in multiple sections and joined onsite.

FSA can deliver liners to site anywhere in Australia or the world including many remote locations.
